Round table “Preliminary information search and assessment of patentability - additional guarantees to increase the reliability of a patent”

Nikolay Bogdanov, Partner, Counsel, Russian Patent Attorney (Gorodissky & Partners, Moscow), spoke at the round table “Preliminary information search and assessment of patentability - additional guarantees to increase the reliability of a patent” which was hold within the XXIV Rospatent International Conference “Transformation of intellectual property in the contemporary environment".

The main topic of discussion at the round table was the changes introduced to the Civil Code by Federal Law No. 262-FZ of July 31, 2020, providing for the involvement of organizations accredited by Rospatent in conducting preliminary information searches and assessing patentability as part of the examination of applications for inventions and utility models, as well as a number of questions arising in connection with these changes.
