Round table “Trademarks on the Internet: Current Judicial Practice”

Ramzan Khusainov, Senior Lawyer, Trademark Attorney (Gorodissky & Partners, Kazan), made a presentation “Online marketing with competitors' trademarks: use of marks in advertisements, on websites, in meta tags and keywords” at the round table “Trademarks on the Internet: Current Judicial Practice” organized as part of the LF Talks project under the auspices of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

During the round table, Ramzan Khusainov and other invited speakers, using examples from judicial practice, considered the issues of online use of another’s trademarks in online advertising, on the website, in meta tags and keywords, analyzed aspects of the use of another’s trademarks in domain names, outlined the nuances of imposing responsibility for information intermediaries, talked about the problems of free use of trademarks, including in travesty.

At the end of the event, the speakers answered questions from the audience.
