Seminar “Franchise business”
25 November 2019Sergey Medvedev, Ph.D., LL.M., Partner, Russian Trademark & Design Attorney (Gorodissky&Partners, Moscow), made a presentation “Franchising Legal Basics” at the seminar “Franchise business” organized by JSC "SME Corporation" and the Russian Franchise Association.
In the framework of the presentation Sergey Medvedev covered topics related to aspects of running a franchise business, features of concluding, amending and terminating a commercial concession agreement, a licensing agreement, features of state registration of transactions in franchising, the causes and trends of litigation in franchising, as well as shared examples and court practice.
In addition, the employees of the "SME Corporation” presented to the participants the capabilities of the SME Business Navigator Portal and the “Life Situations” service regarding the franchise catalog and calculating the business plan using the franchise.
More than 50 specialists from 42 constituent entities of the Russian Federation took part in the seminar.
