Russian Government extends deadlines in response to COVID-19 pandemic

The Russian Government adopted Decree No. 893 of June 20, 2020, aimed at creating more favorable conditions for interaction with Rospatent during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Decree, if the deadline for performing any actions before Rospatent (filing documents, submitting additional materials, filing petitions, statements, objections, etc.) falls on the period from March 30 to November 30, 2020, the deadline may be extended until December 31, 2020. The extension is also valid for actions related to the payment of official fees.

A request for extension may be filed no later than one month from the corresponding deadline or from the effective date of the Decree (June 22, 2020), whichever is later.
