Conference ‘Current Challenges in Intellectual Property Law’
25 March 2025Samara hosted a successful conference ‘Current Challenges in Intellectual Property Law’ dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Samara branch of Gorodissky & Partners.
At the jubilee conference the participants discussed practical issues of legal protection of intellectual property in the current situation.
Tatiana Korovina, Regional Director (Gorodissky & Partners, Samara), reminded that the Samara branch was one of the first and this year it celebrates its 25th anniversary. The opening of the branch office in the Samara region was due to the high innovation and economic potential of the region, which today is among the top 10 patenting leaders in Russia.
Valery Medvedev, Managing Partner, (Gorodissky & Partners, Moscow) spoke about the importance of innovation and intellectual property protection in the modern economic model.
Also leading patent attorneys and lawyers of the firm highlighted the most pressing issues in the era of import substitution:
- information and legal support of innovative activity,
- how not to miss the opportunity to obtain a patent,
- copyright and neural networks,
- trademarks and key aspects of their legal protection.
