Now, the law includes production designer in the list of the authors because in some cases he makes an even greater input in the work than other authors. His inclusion in the list of authors will endow him with more rights for earning compensation for his work.

The Law No 213-ФЗ dated June 28, 2022 allows import of certain goods included in the list prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The list includes the goods that may be in short supply. The list is revised from time to time depending on the situation on the market.

On June 11, 2022 Russia adopted Law 176-Ф3. It amends Part IV of the Civil Code in that it brings IP law in conformity with the Marrakesh Agreement facilitating access of blind and visually impaired people to published works.

Federal law 143-ФЗ was enacted on May 28, 2022. It makes it easier to register a trademark identical or confusingly similar to geographical indications or appellations of origin. The law allows to register a trademark in respect of goods not similar to those under GI or appellation of origin. The basic condition is that the consumer should not associate the trademark with GI or appellation of origin. The law will come in force on May 29, 2023
