On 16 June, the State Duma received a draft law prepared by the Government on amendments to Article 1274 of the Civil Code of Russia (No. 1193643-7). The draft law is developed to bring the Russian legislation in line with the provisions of the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled (hereinafter the “Marrakesh Treaty”), to which the Russian Federation acceded in 2018.
